The Crip Project (Funkisprojektet): Norm-critical perspectives
Activists from the Crip project (Funkisprojektet), organised by RFSL and RFSL-Stockholm, will talk about how to apply norm-critical perspectives in order to change attitudes and norms in both the LGBTQ community and the disability movement. They will talk about the different studies that have led to the project, what they do in the project and what it has meant, as well as various kinds of resistance that they have encountered.
Johanna Nyberg is Master in Gender Studies and has done interviews in living arrangements and day centres for disabled people, studying norms around love and relationships. They is also responsible for “HBTQ-hänget” – a meeting place for LGBTQ people with disabilities. Lisa Ericson, also Master in Gender Studies, has done interview studies on norms around sexuality, functionality and resistance. She is also project manager of the Crip Project.
