Opportunity grant window - OPEN for applications!

An Opportunity Grant is intended to help groups try out new ideas, implement their plans or make the most of circumstances where there may be a good chance to bring about some sort of positive change.

Applications from youth-led groups

We welcome applications from groups that support and lead the engagement of young people and girls to shape, implement, monitor and ensure accountability for the new global goals.

We want to support the energy and ideas of young people, and support their role in ensuring the success of the new global development agenda that connect to our priority theme areas.

Groups can apply for an Opportunity grant...

•to try a new idea for SRHR advocacy
•to make the most of a political or social opportunity
•to experiment
•to carry out needed activities
•to learn and share lessons

We can consider a wide range of activities for support with an Opportunity Grant. Your activities should clearly contribute in some way to the priority themes of AmplifyChange. Your application should make clear what your objective is – that is, the change you are seeking to contribute to bringing about within your own specific SRHR policy context. Your application should explain what you will do, the activities you will undertake, to make it happen.

Opportunity grants can be up to a maximum of 10,000 Euros. There is no lower limit to Opportunity grant funding. So you can apply for less than 10,000 Euros. Just make the budget match the activities you are proposing and apply for the amount that you need to do what you plan. The maximum time of funding for an Opportunity grant is 1 year. There is no minimum duration.

The project must deal with at least one of our five priority themes:
1) Ending unsafe abortion
2) Sexual health of young people
3) Gender-based violence
4) Stigma & discrimination
5) Access for the marginalised and vulnerable
We are very keen to receive applications from groups within or working with communities directly affected by these priority themes.
