Toolbox
The toolbox contains models, methods and tools that can simplify, and provide quality assurance for, your work to achieve gender equality. Here, you’ll find brief accounts of how others have used conceptual models, methods and tools.
There are numerous models, methods and tools available to use.
Our ambition is to provide a rich, varied range. Which model, method or tool suits your particular activity depends on many factors. The classification given here — models, methods and tools — is operational in nature and they can, in reality, be combined in various ways. There are no hard-and-fast divisions between the categories, nor can they be isolated from one another.
Moreover, the words used to describe a phenomenon depend on the context. What is termed a ‘method’ here can be described as a ‘tool’ elsewhere. A checklist may be a tool, but also a method, depending on what it is like and how it is used.
Do you think there is a method missing? In that case, please let us know.
